Healthcare providers are facing a crisis in sourcing personal protective equipment (PPE). As demand for items such as masks, gloves and sanitiser increases, costs rise and vital supplies are directed to frontline workers in the NHS, health care providers are struggling to ensure staff working with the vulnerable and elderly are adequately protected.
As well donating existing school supplies, we’re leveraging our network of donors and business partners to provide PPE outbreak packs to partner care homes, GP surgeries and hospitals in our Star Family Hubs. Our pupils are also using utilising 3D printers and textile equipment in schools to create PPE visors and face masks.
TOILETRY AND HYGIENE VOUCHERS
During difficult times, basic hygiene can become a backseat luxury for many families. Each Star Family Hub is providing toiletry and home hygiene vouchers to those in need.
What can the toiletry and home hygiene vouchers be used for?
The vouchers should only be used to buy essential personal and home hygiene supplies.
Who can receive a toiletry and home hygiene voucher?
Toiletry and home hygiene vouchers are available to members of the Star family unable to shop due to self-isolation or those experiencing financial difficulties due to increased bills or income loss.
We ask that only those in genuine need make a request for a voucher to ensure the most needy and vulnerable receive the support they require. If you have family, friends or neighbours who are currently supporting you, please continue with these arrangements where possible.
Once a request for support has been made, our dedicated support team will telephone you to discuss your request.
How can I request a toiletry and hygiene voucher?
You can request a toiletry and home hygiene voucher by calling us on 0330 313 9161* or completing our simple online form. Once we’ve received your details, we will be in touch to discuss your request and explain next steps.
A family is eligible to request a toiletry and home hygiene voucher every three weeks.
*Our 0330 number is charged at the same rate as standard landline numbers that start with ’01’ or ’02’. If your phone tariff offers inclusive calls to landlines, calls to 0330 numbers will also be included on the same basis. Included in any applicable call packages, otherwise standard landline rates.
I am self-isolating and can’t leave the house.

If you are vulnerable or self-isolating because you or a family member are displaying Covid-19 symptoms, we will do our best to arrange a toiletry and hygiene pack delivery to your house.
