We will provide food vouchers to Star family members who cannot afford to feed themselves
We will distribute food packs to Star family members who are vulnerable or self-isolating
Rising costs, income loss and the closure of many foodbanks as a result of the coronavirus outbreak are placing many families in hardship. Star Family Hubs will provide food vouchers to hungry neighbours as this crisis deepens.
Our food vouchers will be offered to people who are struggling to make ends meet, ensuring they have enough food to last them for a week.
What can the food vouchers be used for?
The vouchers should only be used to buy essential food supplies.
Who can receive a food voucher?
Food vouchers are available to members of the Star family unable to shop due to self-isolation or those experiencing financial difficulties due to increased bills or income loss.
We ask that only those in genuine need make a request for a food voucher to ensure the most needy and vulnerable receive the support they require. If you have family, friends or neighbours who are currently supporting you, please continue with these arrangements where possible.
Once a request for support has been made, our dedicated support team will telephone you to discuss your request.
How can I request a food voucher?
A family is eligible to request a food voucher every week.
*Our 0330 number is charged at the same rate as standard landline numbers that start with ’01’ or ’02’. If your phone tariff offers inclusive calls to landlines, calls to 0330 numbers will also be included on the same basis. Included in any applicable call packages, otherwise standard landline rates.
I am self-isolating and can’t leave the house.
How can you help?
If you are vulnerable or self-isolating because you or a family member are displaying Covid-19 symptoms, we will do our best to arrange a food pack delivery to your house.
